The Reset
As we step into a new year, we're invited to examine what it truly means to build our lives on the right foundation. Drawing from Psalm 127, this message challenges us to ask ourselves a critical question: Are we building our lives with God at the center, or are we striving through life on our own strength? The psalm reminds us that unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain. This isn't about condemning hard work or effort—it's about recognizing that human independence from God leads to emptiness. We can be busy, active, and exhausted, but if God isn't involved, our efforts ultimately fall short. The imagery is powerful: God as our builder, our guardian, our sustainer. He doesn't just bless what we build; He blesses what He builds through us. When we align our marriages, careers, ministries, and families with His design rather than our own schemes, we discover that transformation becomes automatic rather than forced. This year offers us an opportunity for a genuine reset—not becoming something brand new, but realigning our lives with God's original design and intended purpose for each of us. The question isn't whether we can make ourselves better, but whether we're willing to surrender control and let the Master Builder shape our lives according to His perfect blueprint.
